# What?

### **What is Compose Document?**

Compose Document is a powerful feature in ClauseBuddy that enables you to draft complete documents by combining your curated clause library with advanced AI assistance. This hybrid drafting approach leverages your legal expertise alongside AI to create well-structured, styled documents efficiently.

When you start in Compose Document, you can either choose from a variety of example documents in multiple languages or create a new document from scratch by providing instructions to the AI. You begin by drafting an outline based on your prompt, specifying language, clause count and drafting style. The AI then generates a detailed outline that you can refine further.

After the outline is ready, you can proceed to fill in the content of each clause. To do this, you can ask the AI to draft clauses, insert clauses from your library, or manually edit text. The feature also lets you rephrase clauses with AI suggestions, compare different versions and add additional sub-clauses as needed.

Once your document is complete, you can export it to a clean MS Word file using your house style or directly insert the content into another open Word document. The feature supports managing placeholders and defined terms to ensure consistency throughout your document.

Compose Document streamlines your drafting process by blending human expertise with AI efficiency, making it easier to create complex legal documents with consistent structure and style.
