# Tips when using Word

## **Make more room for ClauseBuddy**

If you are using ClauseBuddy from within ClauseBuddy, you may not have enough space on your screen if you do not have a large monitor. If so, you may want to put Microsoft Word in **Web Layout View** instead of the default Print Layout. You can do so by visiting the View tab in Word's ribbon, or by clicking on the relevant button in Word's status bar at the bottom of the window.

You can then make your document panel at the left side smaller, and Word will wrap the document's text in the available window. This allows you to make more room for ClauseBuddy.

## **Assigning a shortcut to highlight**

When you are actively highlighting various parts of your Word-document, it can become tedious to get your hands off the keyboard in order to pick up your mouse and navigate to Word's toolbar to click on the highlight button.

You may want to assign a shortcut to the highlight action:

* On Windows, go to `File` > `Options` > `Customize Ribbon`. At the bottom of the dialog box, choose the `Customize` button.
* On a Mac, go to menu `Tools` and then `Customize keyboard...`

In both cases, navigate to the `All commands` category at the left side of the dialog box, and select the `Highlight` command. You can then assign a shortcut (e.g. Ctrl + Alt + H) by positioning your cursor within the `Press new shortcut key` box.

While you're at it, you may also want to assign another shortcut (e.g., Ctrl + Alt + Shift + H) to the `HighlightOff` command.
